Kakunyû XIV (1918~1980)Kakunyû XIV (1918~1980)

Black Raku tea bowl named “Rinshô” authenticated by Sokuchûsai,ex-collection of the Raku family
This is a representative black bowl by Kakunyû, particularly endowed with a structural power deriving from simple composition of features of a bowl, even though no distinctive trimming traces are visible. The veil glaze, makuyû, which is flowing down on the body, is beautifully effective.
Red Raku tea bowl named “Juei” authenticated by Sokuchûsai,ex-collection of the Raku family
Kakunyû's tea bowls look modern. His red tea bowls are particularly varied in style, characterized by a complex glaze texture achieved by the kiln change in contrast to the simplicity of form. This is one of  the best examples representative of Kakunyû's red bowls.
Fresh water jar in the shape of a turban shell with green glaze,ex-collection of the Raku family
It is rather a large fresh water jar in the shape of a turban shell. Outside is covered with a vivid green glaze while inside is gilded by gold leaf, giving the piece a modern look, characteristic of Kakunyû's work.
