Two more architectural prizes awarded for Raku Kichizaemon-kan of the Sagawa Art Museum

It is our greatest pleasure to announce that the following two prizes have been awarded for the architectural design of Raku Kichizaemon-kan at Sagawa Art Museum in 2009. Since its inauguration in 2007, the awards that Raku Kichizaemon-kan has won have reached 13 by adding these two:
50th BCS Award 2009, Building Constructor Society
Grand Prix, JID Biennale 2010, Japan Interior Designers' Association

“Roshu Chakai” tea ceremony session and publication of its booklet

It is our greatest pleasure to announce the tea ceremony session starting from October 2009 titled “Roshu Chakai” held at the tea room inside Raku Kchizaemon-kan organized by Sagawa Art Museum. The first session consisting of koicha and usucha tea ceremonies was hosted by Raku Kichizaemon XV and Kuriwada Eiichi, the director of the Sagawa Art Museum. The fully illustrated booklet also includes an extensive interview made with Raku Kichizaemon XV and will be regularly issued as a documentation of “Roshu Chakai”.
